Alisa Pejić

Director of American School of English

Alisa Pejić was born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2001, she enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy, English Language and Literature Department. As a second-year student, she started working as an English language teacher in the primary school “Mejdan,” where she still works. In November 2005, she graduated from university with a BA in English Language and Literature. In 2011, she obtained the professional title Teacher Mentor. In the academic year 2013/2014, she started her master studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, Methodology of English Language Teaching program, and she received her MA two years later. In the academic year 2014/2015, she worked at the Faculty of Philosophy as an expert associate for the English language, within the Pedagogy/Psychology Department. In 2015, she started working as an expert associate at American University in Tuzla where she currently teaches English language and literature.

She moved to Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2000 to work with a humanitarian aid organization. While volunteering as an English teacher in Mostar she received Master TEFL Certification from Bridge TEFL. After teaching English for 10 years in Mostar, she moved to Sarajevo in 2016 where she continues to work as a professor of the English language. She currently works at American School of English as a professor of the English language.
